A Total Loss typically occurs when your repair cost exceeds the value of your vehicle or reaches a specific threshold set by the insurance company repairing your vehicle.
After a vehicle is deemed a total loss, storage charges are applied from the day your vehicle entered our facility until the day it leaves. Storage Charges in combination with other various work performed charges & fees make up our “Total Loss Charges”. These charges are industry wide and regulated by the the Bureau of Automotive Repair. These charges must be payed before we release your vehicle to you or your insurance company. The insurance company that deemed your vehicle a total loss will typically pay these charges. We try our best to negotiate charges and come to a resolution as quickly as possible to avoid any reductions in your settlement. If the insurance company refuses to negotiate or pay reasonable charges. Ultimately, YOU are responsible for all unpaid Total Loss charges.
After charges are settled and you’ve released the vehicle, the insurance company will pick up the vehicle and issue your settlement payment.
We advise you to pickup any belongings prior to releasing your vehicle.
